I was wondering if I need to add my child that was born in canada to the generic application form(0008) ?
or only to additional family info(imm5406)?

Additional family info. A child born in Canada is almost always a Canadian citizen (there is an exception for diplomats).

Q: If the child was born after the PR application was sent in, is there a need to send in a renewed Additional Family info form? Or does one just write a letter stating that there is an additional family member who is a Canadian Citizen and provide a copy of birth certificate for CICs record?

A copy of the birth certificate an a amended IMM 5406

One of my family member on the application had a renewed passport after AOR issuance.
Should I send in the new passport copy only?
Or do I need to attach an IMM008 with new passport number and new expiry dates?

No, just a copy of the bio data pages of the passport are fine.
