Hi,
My son is 13 years old he is a US citizen, his canadian pr card will expire on September 11, 2015 does he needs to be present in canada for the renewal application, is it ok if I submitt his application or he can come on June 5, 2015 then send his application, is it ok if he applies for the renewal only 3 months before the expiration date?

Because he can't sign his own application (I believe he must be 16 or older, not positive on this)you can file his renewal for him from Canada. He will be subject to the RO like any PR would be, so if he doesn't have enough time in Canada in the last 5 years to meet RO then I don't suggest you apply to renew it.

Thanx for the answer, yes he spent over 2 years in canada so no problem with the RO.
That means I can apply for him? Please I still have a question about the pictures for the application does he have to take it in canada?

He can get the pictures taken anywhere in the world as long as they follow the instructions for the proper size, head size and everything else.
