Hi everyone,

My family and I are all british citizens and my father has a job in Canada as a CNC operator for a good company. I know that he is allowed to take his family with him but I am confused about the education aspect of this all. Do we have to pay fees to go to school? If so are they international fees? I am going to university so if I move I'll have to find a university there. Question is will I have to pay international fees? My brother is 13 will he have to pay for school? Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks :)

1. Most likely you will pay International Fees for university most provinces will not charge for minors attending Elementary/Secondary school where a parent has a work permit.

Hi

As you aren't a Canadian citizen or PR, you will definitely have to pay international tuition at university, which is usually around 3-4 times the tuition paid by Canadians.

Children of work permit holders usually aren't charged elementary or secondary school tuition. I think it is up to individual schools on whether they charge or not.
