Hi,

I am a single woman who is hoping to have a child but unfortunately I need both a surrogate and an egg donor to accomplish this. I was thinking of doing this in the united states as it is a much easier process there than here. But then I read that if the child is genetically unrelated to me I wouldn't be able to bring them back to Canada? But then on the CIC website it later goes onto state that they have made a new mandate to accommodate these situations. I am confused about what the legalities actually are. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this subject? Thanks!
