Hi, I'm wondering if anybody can help me with this query? My son was born outside Canada to a Canadian parent and we are in the process of applying for his citizenship. We are going to try and apply for a limited validity passport at the same time due to time constraints with my application for permanent residence validity.

This is probably a silly question but I'm stumped with the declaration of guarantor part of the passport form. It reads "you, the applicant" and then the child. Is the applicant my child (as I would assume as it is his application) or me? I hope this makes sense.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

:) :) yes that make sense , I think you are the applicant , since child under 18 cant apply for this. And the guarantor would need to guarantee that you they knows you , and probably know that you had a child born outside Canada" best bet , have a copy of your child birth certificate
