Hey all,

I am a Canadian Citizen by Naturalization born outside Canada, My daughter is 2 weeks old a minor child born in Pakistan, as she is a Canadian citizen as well we did not apply for a Pakistani passport or ID or Canadian Citizenship Certificate yet but looking to get one

1. I read that If the Canadian parent was also born outside Canada HE/SHE must apply for a paper application for proof of Canadian Citizenship of the child ?
2. Can I apply online for a Canadian Citizenship Certificate? If so which 2 pcs of IDs I can attach?
3. Do I have to declare her as a Pakistani Citizen as well
4. Can I directly apply for a Canadian passport in Pakistan without a Canadian Citizenship Certificate?

In order to apply for a Canadian Citizenship Certificate one must have 2 pcs of IDs

We just have the Birth Certificate for now, plus I can get Child Registration Certificate They do not contain a photo on it

Pls help

1. Can't comment on what you say you read. But note there are two different cases, citizenship by naturalization (regardless of where you were born - although 99% of those naturalized are born outside Canada), and those born outside Canada who received their citizenship by descent (i.e. because one parent was already a citizen at the time of birth of the child-citizen). These are VERY different cases. If you were naturalized, regardless of place of birth, that's the appropriate category.
2. Yes. Read the instructions. Sometimes they accept with fewer pieces of ID if not available/with explanation.
3. Up to you.
4. I'd suggest contacting the CONSULAR section of the High Commission/Consulate and asking. Basically you can apply by providing a copy of the application and attachments of the certificate of citizenship. They may want you to provide both to them. They would provide a temporary passport (but infants generally get date-limited passports anyway).
