Child born after applied for citizenship but before received

Good day to everyone,

Maybe someone can clarify it for me, if parents who applied for Canadian citizenship left Canada before actually receiving it, had a child born outside of Canada, then received their citizenship (flew back when needed for test and oath), will the child be somehow eligible for Canadian citizenship ?

Because on the moment of child birth, citizenship application was still not finalized, and actually approved after, what would be the way to apply for a citizenship for the child ?

Thank you to everyone who helped !

You will need to sponsor your child first as a PR once he lands in Canada and becomes PR and you are citizen then you can apply for your child citizenship under subsection 5(2).
