My child will be born in vietnam this july 2010, im a canadian citizen
what document will i need for my child to travel to canada with me
and how long will this process takes.

You need to apply for Citizenship Certificate for your child through the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam.
This process may take 9 - 10 months. You can find the application form in CIC website. Look for application form for proof of canadian citizenship.

After you receive the citizenship certificate, you can apply for your child's canadian passport, also from the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam.
