Believe it or not but once the chief of police from toronto wrote that there are 2% blacks and they commit 98% of crimes and 98% other communities only commit 2% of crime, so I guess where they see problems come from they try to stop or at least slow down the immigration.

Everyone who applied early2010 are still waiting, and some 2009aswell and processing time is anywhere between 12 to 21+ months

Nikah was in Dec 2009... Medical for wife was done in Jan 2010 and application sent Feb 2010... AOR was April 2010... Then did rukhsati, valima, honeymoon July 2010.. Sent update re rukhsati in Sept 2010 through MP's office... Resent update in Feb 2011 myself... Got request to resend police certificate and re-fill some IMM forms (education, work etc) and sent those Mar 2011... Now April 2011 got the objection letter re Rukhsati ... Going to resend everything again in next couple of days...

When you filled in your original forms, did you mention when your rukhasati was going to take place?
Because I am in a similar situation. My nikkah was done in July 2007, and I applied to sponsor my husband in October 2010 (I could not apply any earlier, as my husband was traveling for work - to Saudi and Qatar). In my application, i mentioned that my Rukhsati was to take place in December 2010, and I sent in copies of my ticket plus rukhsati/valima hall recipets etc. Should I send in my rukhsati/valima pictures along with the invitation card, and whatever else as soon as possible?

Its been a while since i came on the boards. I was trying not to think about it. Process is long.

Update on my status...

I finally filed my app on Nov-17-2010. Got Ack letter from Mississauga-ON-Canada office on Dec 22nd 2010 but date it was approved and sent to islamabad was Dec 14th.

First week of Jan, eCAS status was still showing Dec 14th message. Then Jan 27th, i randomly decided to check the eCAS status and it was updated that:

"We received <my wife's name> application for permanent residence on December 23, 2010.
Medical results have been received"

I just check today... it now just says the first line, without the medical part. Odd??

Also, my wife hasn't received anything in the mail, even though website says the above statement as of Jan xx 2011. I heard mail disruptions do occur but Now its April 10 2011. Getting a little worried. I asked her to go through any old mail.

Thoughts? How is everyone else progressing? Any other November appliers?

It varies time to time, some times the addresses disappear, sometimes the medicals disappear. Its something internal nothing to worry about..

When you filled in your original forms, did you mention when your rukhasati was going to take place?
Because I am in a similar situation. I'm not sure exactly what i wrote... Just mentioned nikah, and detail that it was a full scale event (ie hall, lots of ppl etc)... but yes you should send an update re that your rukhsati has taken place... After the nikah objection we resent everything again and now we have gotten the re-medical request (no ppr yet though)... so its best to update before they send you an objection which ends up delaying you by a few months more...

Inshallah soon you will receive the PPR aswell. I applied for my wife a month before you so Jan 2010, and her meds expired in Jan 2011 but still no re med request. She just received the rePCC and IMM forms request. So I am hoping we receive remed and ppr together soon InshAllah...

NOpe nothing! Infact, in my CAIPS they have mentioned the the marriage seems genuine. My wife has only received one request letter and that was for rePCC and IMM forms after 11 months of processing and thats about it, after that its been quite
