seems like a very knowledgable group of people on this forum. I need your advice on how to respond. The reason for a gap in my wifes' personal history (4 months) is purely oversight and a mistake, she was at home preparing for her college entrance exams.
I received this letter from immigration officials asking me to fill out the necessary gaps in personal history in form IMM Section 0008 Question 11.
My concern is in the wording of this letter specifically the use of the words in the first paragraph and the last paragraph.
*** Letter from immigration Canada ***
This refers to your application for permanent resident in Canada. Your application for permanent resident visa has been reviewed. It appears you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Based on the information with your application, it appears you may not meet the requirement of section subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act which states ..
...
....
.....
To be procedurally fair, before a final decision is made on your application, you are being given an opportunity to respond to these concerns and as well any further information within 45 days from the date you receive this letter ..
...
Does this imply they have a negative decision lined up for me ?
- Should I just fill out the IMM0008 application form and send them the missing dates only?
- Is it a good idea to send my valima and honey moon pictures along with this?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Anywhere from 45 days up to 2+ years based on travel/work/education history.BabarShah said:How long security check take place from CSIS????????? any idea
Yep they do call appicants sometimes to make sure that they have done the remedical. They normally call, if the applicant hasn't either sent a notification that they have completed the medical exam or if they havn't received the results for any reasons. May be they are in preparation for your PPR.KAAMIA72 said:I got a call from CIC-Isb inquiring whether I have done my Remedical or not. Informed them that I have done it more than two months back. I guess alpha got this call three weeks back and dante also did some month ago before his PPR. Perhaps they wanted to tell me that they are alive and my file is alive too.. :'(
Nope there is no notification unless you send them an email to ask if they have received documents/medical or whatever you sent.mahamq245 said:Shouldn't there be a notification once they receive one's medical and/or any other documents? Why do they have to CALL months' later just to show there paying attention...But.....not.. :

Thats how things were. then they tightened up the visa quota, dropping it from 250K to 150K per year for all kind of immigration. with such decrease in Visa's allocated per year, it was quite obvious that processes will go down slow or the embassies abroad will have noting but to clean their windows, half way through the year. so they deliberately slowed it down, i reckon.Danny4450 said:Reading some of the posts in this thread from Nov/Dec 2010, I am really surprised to see some people get the Visa in 9-12 months
Danny4450 said:"Canada is also creating a new visa for frequent visitors, valid for 10 years with limitless entrances to the country, Kenney announced.
The visas will let people come to Canada for up to six months at a time, and as many times as they want, over the 10-year period. The new permit is expected to appeal to travellers who come to Canada frequently on business or to visit family"
Interesting !

Luckily i wont be asked for Remed (For sure). Have submitted the RePCC and additional information and the letter said that decision will be made within 45 days of issuance of the latter i received on June 30. I feel kind of bad that i had to use a Red Channel for this... but ... what do they say? In rome, Do what the romans do! :-X
