good after noon i want all senior memebers to share there knowledge .here is my situation i was falsely charged with domestic violence . and was charged with 266c which is summary offence i then fought that case and crown offered me different deals which i refused and seek trail instead before the trail date crown under the fear of losing case backed off but took stay in my case and denied me trail .i was told that i am as innocent as before and my case if not open within one year will be gone means they tried to punish me any way .caz it has effected me so badly as i was studying and wanted to do security job at night where i can study as well but my security licence took longer then 5 months to be renewed .any way then i applied for citizenship and my test date came earler then i thought thinking it is ok but when i was asked for test before the test date i received another latter requesting finger prints which i did .and i have been told that if i am not criminally convicted rcmp will send my ok result to citizenship which they didnt and i received my final call letter from citizenship for finger print result .i called rcmp and they said something show up in my file and now they will take 120 days to proceed it .. in the mean time my stay duration is expired and now the stay off proceeding condition is gone to means charge will never recommence .. now i have 30 days to inform cic that police wants extra time ...my question is is there any one unlucky like me who has faced same situation .how long police will take and what will they send to cic and how long will cic take once they will receive finger prints result . i will appreciate yours reply thanks

Sorry to hear about your situation. If you can afford, please engaged an attorney, paralegal or community legal aid.

Strangely, when you have some legal aid on your side, authorities view things differently and does not give hard time.

If you can obtain clearance letter from Crown that states you no longer has any issues and send a copy to RCMP, ask them to expedite issuing the security clearance.

thanks that is what i am thinking off by the way crown has given me a letter a year back that they stayed off proceedings and they gave me a green sheet that i had to fill and send it rcmp so that my finger prints should be destroyed but it seems not working yet i called otherday to crown they seems not to help me as they said these are my civil matters as far my case is concern they have closed my file .. and if i want any further information i have to come through right to information department . thanks for the help by the way :)

In that case, hire some paralegal to help you get the fresh dated "NO Objection" letter from the Crown Office or letter addressed to RCMP that would help you get better Finger print report.
