No matter how u do it make suuuuuuuuuuure they update it. I learned about some applicants who were shocked to find out online the application was closed and when they called CIC they were told they sent them 2 letters with no answer but the applicant never received anything. Letters were indeed sent to the previous address. Another one his PR card was mailed or left by the mailman next door at a Doctor's office.
My advice for everybody is ,when you don't hear from CIC for a long time , call and see what's wrong, maybe they're trying to contact you in vain. Don't assume that it's just because the process is long.
