Changing universities from inside Canada (Need Help)

Hi,

I hope you are doing fine. I am an international student currently in Canada on a study permit valid until next August. I finished my master's on September 2, and started my PhD on September 7 at another university, also notifying IRCC of this DLI change. My question is since IRCC states that the study permit expires 90 days after finishing your program, will this apply to me even though I have started a new program? Will I be out of status on December 3rd?

Since you have started another post-secondary program (active study), updated your DLI on your gckey account and have informed IRCC, you should be fine.
