Fellow forum member,
I have a question regarding the spelling of the name.
In my citizenship application I have requested CIC to change the spelling of my first name.
So instead of 'ks' I wanted to use 'x' (that's pretty much how it should be spelled in a proper way.)
Anyway, after the submission, they called me to ask if I have any Canadian legal doc supporting this minor change. However in a few seconds she found out in my docs that one of the Canadian universities (I've sent them every piece of info I had, including school stuff) spelled my name with x. She said it's enough.
My ECAS name changed to the name with x, and I went to the test and CIC haven't said anything checking my PR card.
anyway, the question is,
Would I have any problems getting Canadian passport if my citizenship certificate will have the different spelling of the name, comparing to every piece of document I currently have?
I'm waiting for my bloody oath for 4 months after the test, and it would be stupid to wait for another 6 months to replace that citizenship certificate.
