Hello everyboy!
My husband got the Alberta Nominee on July 2016, but he couldn't extend his work permit with that because he didn't get the employee form filled. He applied for an open work permit using my student permit but it was refused (I was ESL student). He lost his status on October 2016. After that, I applied to a program in a college, I got the acceptance letter and I applied to an extension of my student permit on December 2016. I got the permit on January 2017. On the other hand, my husband got his open work permit on Febreaury 2017 and finally his status was restored.
During that time he also applied to the PR under the restoaration status and we got the file number this month. Now, with the file number I can apply to an open work permit. Does anybody know if it won't affect his current status? I know that the spouse of a PR applicant can get a work permit but my big concern is if that can affect his status because actually his work permit is depending on my student permit.
