Hello!

My spouse and I were nominated for PR through MPNP in Dec ‘22. We have been staying in MB from Dec’20. We got our CoPR in Feb ‘24. Our intention was always to make MB our permanent home, which we still hope to do in the future. We have purchased a house here, and are active in the community with volunteering and sports.

However, I was doing a remote role and my company is shutting down its Canada ops. So I have received a termination notice and will be terminated in March’25.

I’m in a highly paid role and I don’t see any job opportunities in MB to be able to switch jobs. Also, we have been in a long process of IVF procedures in Winnipeg, with 3 cycles without success. We have read and researched about Ontario clinics and would love to get treatments in Toronto. So our plan is to move to Ontario which will help me find a job and help us to get treatments.

We are worried that it’ll impact our future citizenship chances. Could someone please help if it’s is ok to move? We don’t think we’ll be back in MB for another 5 years. We intend to rent out our current house. Will there be any issues when we apply for citizenship?

I’m sorry for the super long post!
