Hello,
I am currently living in Montreal, QC with a temporary work visa. I have been here for almost 8 months. I’m currently considering the possibility of looking for a new job in Ottawa, ON and make a new visa request for this job. But I have a few questions related to this.
First. I know that my current visa does not allow me to work in a different job than the one I currently have. But I was wondering if the action of looking and applying for another job would be against the regulations as well, even if I plan to get a new visa for the new job.
My second question. I would like to eventually apply for permanent residence in Canada. I know that there are immigration programs that require to have at least a year of work experience in Canada. I was wondering, if I changed my job and moved from Quebec to Ontario, would I loose the 8 months that I have working and would have to start from zero to fulfill the requirement? Or would it still count for that matter?
I would really appreciate your help in this matter. If you require any additional information, please let me know.
Thank you.
