changing IEC working holiday to Student visa

Hi,

I just got accepted for a college and about to apply for a student visa. My working holiday visa expires in March, and the study program begins in may. So I am applying to change my status from within Canada. My question is how do I receive to visa when approved? do I have to go to the border and talk with immigration officers ??

To go to the border and flagpole to get your study permit preferably before your IEC expires else you would need to extend stay as a visitor for the interim period in getting a study permit. Also you will not be able to work between March when IEC expires and May when course starts and then only of course 20 hours per week.
