Hello
I just wanted to know, if my mum applies for a TRV from India to come to Canada and its approved, can she apply for a Supervisa when she gets to Canada, just before her TRV expires? What is the process, how long does it take and where does the application go?

Hi,

If your mum is in Canada on a temporary residence status then it is possible to apply for a 2-year extended stay.

The application must be sent to CPC-Vegreville. This must include proof of relationship, proofs that you meet the LICO minimum, medical insurance for minimum 1 year purchased from a Canadian insurance company, etc. Your mum will have to do a medical examination.

All the best :)

No, she cannot apply super visa in Canada. She must apply it in India.

Hello,

My mother is having similar situation, since she was granted rather a 4 year multiple entry visa despite applying for super visa along with medical insurance and other documents. I would certainly look for 2 years extension in stay for her.
