Hey guys. My Working holiday permit (IEC) is expiring on June 15th of this year.

I wanted to stay in Canada for a couple of extra months though as a tourist once my permit expires (I'm sub-leasing until the end of August and wanted to stay living at my current place until then)

What would my options be? I read somewhere that it can take up to 4 months to process changing from an IEC Work permit to a tourist Visa. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Yes - you can certainly apply to convert your status from IEC to visitor. As long as CIC receives your application before your IEC expires, you'll be able to remain in Canada after your IEC expires (without working, of course). If CIC hasn't finished processing the application by the time you're ready to go - you can simply leave Canada.
