Changing employer for live in caregiver (does the new pathway affect it?)

Hi everyone!

I am a newbie here. I have been here in Canada as a live in nanny for a year and will change employer but is afraid to do so because of the changes made for caregiver program. My question is, since I am here for a year now, will I fall under the new program if I change employer? Knowing that the new pathways require english test, and equivalent degree in Canada when applying for PR? Your advise will be of help. Thank you

yes, you will be under new pathway, after nov 30, 2014, LMIA is being issue, and no more live in caregiver work permit but temporary foreign work permit should be applied and once you complete the 24mos requirement, so, you need to apply under the new pathway.
