Changing dependent spouse work permit to primary

Hi All,

We recently moved to Canada from US 3 months back on a work permit, my husband being the primary applicant. I have a dependent open work permit. We haven't started our PR process. My husband might have to move back to US within a year so we are not sure if we will receive our PR before then.

Can I still work here even after he moving back to the US? Is there any way where I can change my spouse work permit to primary? I'm currently employed in a Canadian company.

You can work until your permit expires. You don't need to chnage anything.
