Hi Guys,

I will Apply to Citizenship Mid-July but I will be moving to a new place in August 1st.

I will make Sure Canada Post to forward all the mail to my new place.

How can I change my address 2 weeks after applying?

If you know your new address than you should put that on your application. That's obviously if you are 100% certain that you are moving to that address after two weeks.

How can I put it? The Problem When I will apply I will be living at the old address? should I write a seperate note?

Another Question how long it usually takes to transfer to local office? Or let me ask it differently at what stage the file is transferred to local office is it after the AOR?

i read your query wrong, so will try again. you can put the new address in the mailing address box. your residence address can be the current one. verify the address once it reaches the CPC.

it's after the background check and definitely after the AOR. you will see your file on e-cas before that.

I am still confused my friend .. the problem in that .. there is section to mention all the addresses you have lived in .. theoretically speaking I will not be living in the new address until after the citizenship application (it will be outside of the claimed residency time).

So when I apply I will be living in the current address. Should I put a seperate note that the new Address effective August 1st?

there are two addresses in the form. one is residential address and another is mailing address. you can put the new address just in the mailing address. any other address fields will have your current address.

not really. people can have their office address as mailing address if there's no one home to collect couriers. not an issue. the residential address is the applicant address. you can ofcourse call up CIC later to update your residential address as well. i would wait till it's on e-cas, unless they return.

Thanks , Just another question .. when the AOR is sent .. is it sent in a courier? or just regular mail? I think it should be a regular mail but just to double confirm. Because I will forward all my mail through Canada post .. however Canada post dont forward couriers .. so just want to know if the AOR Package+Booklet is forward-able..

Another Question how many mails regular Applicants receives (Is it 3)? (AOR Mail), (Test Mail) , (Oath Mail)? and how accurate is the e-cas?

Thanks Again! Does the E-Cas give you sufficient information .. just as a backup incase the mail was lost or not received? Also If you know .. does moving within the GTA cause application delays?

not really much information but it keeps you up to date. like you will know when the test is, but not know what to bring or what will be checked (which is mentioned in the mail)
