I've applied at my regional CHC for Canada immigration.
I am curious to know what happens if the following facts surface during 3 years of "In process" phase/waiting of the case:

1. Changed country, which has a different processing period as given in CIC website, say from Singapore (Original CHC) to Dubai
- Do I need to transfer my case to new country or it's better to continue at existing CHC but inform them about my country change?
- If file is transferred, this "In process" (waiting) period that has elapsed so far would be counted or it waiting starts again from day 1 at
my new place?

2. Upgraded my qualification during this time, say from Bachelor to Masters. Any advantage?

3. Changed my profession and hence the NOC code during this time.

So some of these facts change ones profile from what it was at originally the time of filing case.
What would be the effect when I am asked to give latest/updated information about myself next time?

regards

1. You are always required to update the visa office in case you changed your address, so its better to let them know and if that means your case will be also transferred then they will let you know.

2. It depends on which phase of the application you are in, if you have already submitted the documents you can update the application and send it to them with the new certs, but that would mean further delay in your processing time, however, it will earn you some extra points. But if you have already been asked to do medicals then there is no point.

3. As far as I understand, change profession should not effect, but remember they will be doing background check and they might call your employer, so it's recommended always not to change jobs during processing time.

Remember, it's always good to be safe then sorry, so whatever you are not sure about you can always email or call them to enquire.

Seniors, pls help to clarify in case I provided wrong or incomplete information.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply.

I had applied under old simplified application process that was valid until 27th Feb 2008 and only applications have been submitted so far.
My application was based on Graduation level and in the mean while, I also did MBA....means higher point on qualification side.

Again, since no certificate or document has been been asked to submit can I just send them an updated application
with a higher qualification and earn few more marks?

Thanks...

Am I right to understand that 1st AOR is the acknowledgment of receiving the application and file number is issued by CHC?

I heard guys even talking about 2nd & 3rd AOR, what are these?
