Change University after Visa

Dear friends,
I'm seeking guidance on following matter:
I have Electronic Engineering degree.
I applied for study permit with admit from McMaster University Meng Manufacturing course. My application was denied as VO was not satisfied with progression of my studies from Electronic to Manufacturing discipline
I reapplied with admit from Ottawa Engineering Management program and my Visa is approved.
But I'm more inclined towards joining McMaster, will it be safe if I change DLI and proceed with McMaster ?

You have to be careful here. you don't want to do anything where you could be accused of misrepresentation.

There are no restrictions on switching schools, as long as your study permit doesn't specify you are only allowed to study at a particular school.
This is not misrepresentation as you are allowed to change your mind and you presented valid docs.
Best to do the switch once in Canada to avoid any awkward questions at POE.
