Change study status, I need hep, please.

Hi,
We came in August 2009, my wife had a study visa, and then I applied for an open work permit with the same amount of time than my wife (two years). My wife’s will finish college at the end of April and I’m still working in the same place. Our visa will expire in July 15 2012, and she wants to apply for a post Graduation work permit at the end of college. I have a question what happen if our visa expire and her application is in process?, what about my open work permit?, Do we need to change our status to visitor for stay legal in Canada now?, Can I apply for my extension open work permit now, or is better way my wife apply first and then me?.

She has 90 days from the date of graduation to apply for a PGWP. Your OWP expires in 15/07/12. So you will have to apply for a visitor extension. You can apply for an open work permit only if your spouse gets a PGWP in NOC A, B or O. Then you can apply for a SOWP. If she doesn't get a job in NOC A, B or O, you can't get a work permit.

I have more questions, why I am the only one that need to apply for a visitor, and my wife not? and why I can't apply for an OWP extension now?
We would like to apply for an extension visa with multiple re-entry because our first visa was not allow us to go back to visit our family. Do you know if exist another application form for apply for multiple re-entry . I can't find it. In the application IMM1249E there is not any part for multiple re-entry.
Is that enough paying the fees(150 for each one)? or we need to do it together or before she applies for her PGWP...

1. The only reason you have an OWP is because you wife is a student. Once she finishes her studies (if it was at a qualifying school) then she applies for a Post Graduate Work Permit. Which is an open work permit. Until she gets a job in NOC A, B or O you can't apply for an OWP.

I've never heard about sponsorship to renew a temporary resident visa. You should have proof of funds or an affidavit of support from the sponsor.
