What are the steps/procedures [qualifications/considerations] that we have to take note to change my status to common law partner.
I am currently in Canada right now under a tourist visa.
Problem is, my partner has a past criminal record. Although he served his time, he currently has a problem with the immigration (because of his past case) plus him going back and forth to the Philippines.. so is there still a chance for me to change status or not?
We need all the advice we can get regarding this matter since were planning to stay here for good and establish a business and buy properties as soon as possible.
