Hey guys, how are you? I need some of the expert opinions about my situation.

Two weeks ago I sent my application for PR. In those two weeks, I was requested the Japanese Certificate of Criminal Record for my wife and the Canadian Criminal Record Check for me. We're getting the Canadian Criminal Record Check for her too, just in case. I am Brazilian and my wife is Japanese. We currently live in Brazil.

Given the facts, here is my question: my wife may need to go back to Japan for indetermined time, which means that she will probably be there when we get a result from CIC. I know that, if it happens, I should notify CIC about her address change (I'll stay in Brazil). Will it affect our application in a negative way?
We will apply for the Canadian Criminal Record Check from Brazil, before she moves to Japan, and this certificate comes with an address. Will it be a problem if she moves after we apply for the certificate?

We have just applied for her Japanese PCC here in Brazil, but it takes around 2 months to be ready. If she moves back to Japan, she can get her certificate there in around 1 week, so I think this is a good point.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Generally after PR application change in address of applicants doesn't matter both from CIC or PCC POV unless it is a mailing address change that CIC will use for PPR, in that case you should do a CSE, else no action required from your side on this.

Now since you have to get a Japanese PCC for your wife and coincidently she is going there anyway, it would be advisable that she gets it just before leaving japan, because as per CIC's PCC rule, she should not have lived in japan after the PCC issue date unless it is her current country of residence (which clearly is not as per your PR application).

The idea of her going back there is exactly like moving, it's not like a tourism trip. She would register herself again in the city hall and find a job there, until we hopefully can go to Canada.
In other words, Japan would become her country of residence again.

From PR POV it doesn't matter now. All she needs is a PCC form Japan for her previous stay there since 18 yrs. of age.

So, if she goes, can I use the PCC she gets in Japan, instead of waiting for 2 months in Brazil?

You mean to submit to CIC? then Yes.
