Change of school and programm Or Status!!

Hello everyone,
Pls what are the possible of changing from a
university to a college as i'm currently in Canada
but will like to relocate to another province closer
to my family for personal reasons and start a college
with a different program?

Is this possible as i'm not sure if it possible and not ready
to mess things.
If possible it's gonna be alright as i will like to know the
necessary procedure but if is not, can i change my
status from Study to Visitor?

Hi,

1. Yes, it's possible. You need to submit an application to modify your study permit at the Case Processing Centre, Vegreville, Alberta ONLY IF you are changing your study program from post-secondary to secondary level

Thanks for the response but i'm i suppose to complete a fresh application bcos i don't understand what you mean by
post-secondary to secondary level.
My post was from University to College bcos i was told i can still continue studies at the college upon acceptance as
long as my study permit is still valid. Anyways i'm still not clear and my question is still yet answered. The link is for
change of conditions or extending of stay but is that applicable to change of condition from study to visit through the
Case Processing Centre, Vegreville, Alberta or Consulate outside Canada?

1. Not exactly, I quote CIC;

"Question: I am already in Canada and have a valid study permit. I would like to change my school or program of studies. What do I need to do to modify my study permit?

Answer: If you are changing schools and/or your program of study but remain at the same level (e.g., secondary level), you do not need to modify your study permit. However, if for example you are a student at the primary school level and you are moving on to secondary school, or if you are a secondary school student and you are moving on to post-secondary studies, or if you are moving from post-secondary studies to secondary studies, you need to submit an application to modify your study permit at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta."


If this situation is applicable in your case, you need to fill out an 'Application to Change Conditions': www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-student.asp

2. You must apply for TRV outside of Canada.
