I have a question, I have recently received my PR card for canada. All my documentations and paperwork was complete based on Indian nationality. My mother holds european nationality, so im now eligbible for european passport. I would like to apply for my european passport, does anyone know how to notify CIC on this new passport, all my records at CIC would have my indian passport details. Can someone look into this for me and reply. Truly appreciate. Janet

1. Being pedantic I presume you mean you are applying for a passport of an EU Member State?

2. My understanding is that you have already landed in Canada and now have a PR Card (initial or renwal as the case may be). On this basis no need to tell CIC anything on this but keep copies of all the pages from your Indian passport (as I recall you have to surrender your Indian passport to the authorities once you have the other passport). You will need to provide the bio data or all pages of the Indian ppt when applying for Canadian Citizenship (especially if issued a Residence Questionnaire) if the passport is valid at any time during the Citizenship qualifying residence period. Even better get the copies notarized.
