Change of location during application process

Hi All,

I am new to this forum but regularly read the various postings.
I have applied for Canada immigration with my wife as Principal applicant and we have received initial acknowledgement from CIC and they have asked us to submit documents to New Delhi office.I have yet to do that.
My question is my company wants to send me to US for about 18 months, and I intend to travel with my family.Firstly is this possible while my application is underway,what happens to my application status,Can I give medicals and interview from US...
anyone undergone similar situation please advise??

Hi,

There is no restriction over travel while PR in process. CHC should be notified about your travel.

But, I have the feeling that your temporary relocation to US may perhaps (???) will create some inconveniences for you and your wife. CHC,. New Delhi will not communicate with you in your new address in US and your interview will not be conducted in US as your file is at New Delhi. Medical can be done with a DMP, but there can be other impedements too. If you need to submit passports, how you can do it from US, because even if you send it by courier, you cannot get it back abroad, which is against the rules in India.

you should notify CHC about your present address always, if changes take place.

But unfortunately, your case may be delayed significantly to make a final decision on the same.

You can request for change of local visa office in US from India since yours is a early stage.

If I want to apply for change of office, I should do that before sending the documents to New Delhi office isnt it? OR I can do that even after sending the documents
