Hi,

We applied for Canada PR and in April 2009 we sent all our documents to Buffalo NY. We just moved to India due to some personal reasons. And on Oct 13th we got a mail from stating that to expedite the processing of our application, our file has been sent to Canadian Consulate General New York. Now I'm lil confused whether to update my change of address and give India address or not. Could any help me in this.

Thanks

Hi,

If you have moved to India permanently then you must advise them about the change of address and then they will transfer your file to New Delhi office as one other applicant was in USA and then moved to India and immigration transfered his file to New Delhi. The visa office who approved the visa can only stamp the visa on passports so keep in mind that as well because if NY CHC approves your visa then you will have to send your passport to NY CHC.

Cheers
