Change of address with an effective date

Hi,

I sponsored my common law partner for PR in January and he applied for the OWP at the same time.

We are moving on August 30, 2020... Should I send a webform to IRCC to say that we are moving effective that date, or should I wait until August 30 to send the webform?

I just want to make sure we don't miss the OWP in the mail.

I would suggest you wait until it actually happens, uncertain times here and everywhere, things could change. Will you be doing mail forwarding thru Canada Post when you move, that will take care of missing the documents if they come in the mail.
