Change of Address-URGENT Help Please

Hi,

I want to apply for PR card renewal now. I am certain that I will move in next month or two from current address. Thus I will not be there to receive my PR card. Thus, I have two options:

1. Give the correspondence address of my friend, for PR card renewal. Now this address is different from my present address and as a result, CIC might be suspicious about this?

2. Apply Now and then Indicate CIC of the address change. How secure is this system. Are there chances of any lapses?

I do not want to wait to apply to PR card renewal till I move to the new address as I would like the PR card renewed before Old one expires.

Please advise which is the best option for me?

You can also go to Canada Post, so that they would forward the mail to another address.

From what I understand, Canada Post will not forward all mail from the Government. This is on their website.
