Change of address after sponsorship was approved

Hello,

On June 1st, my sponsorship application was approved for my wife's outland permanent residency application. At the time of the application, my wife and I were living in the Dominican Republic, but due to immigration changes there, on June 1st, we also moved back to her home country of Mexico in order to keep ourselves legal. A few days before that I tried to do an address change on the application since I knew I would be moving, but I never received a response.

On June 8th or so I emailed the canadian embassy in Mexico for an address change on our applications. On the 15th, I got a reply back that our application had not yet been received by them so they couldn't update it, and not to email again until I receive further correspondence. Now my concern is, a month later, I haven't received any further correspondence that they've received the application or anything, and I want to make sure that our address is updated before they start processing (since I imagine changing country is probably a big deal...)

Any advice? How long should it take after sponsorship approval before I receive correspondence that the application has been received in the embassy where it's being processed?

Thanks!
Tyson

Something similar is happening to me and my husband as well. I would suggest contacting your MP and seeing if there is anything he or she can do for you. I have heard from others that depending on your MP, they might be able to help you out.

Sorry for the dumb question, but what does MP stand for? I looked in the Immigration Acronyms thread and couldn't find it there :)

You question is not clear to me.....could you explain again?
You said your application got approved on June 1 but on June 15 they mentioned they haven't received your application yet. Doesn't make any sense? Something is mission here.....

June 1st the sponsorship application got approved, which means they then mailed the PR application to the embassy in Mexico, which hadn't been received yet. Sorry for the confusion :)
