Change of address after receiving READY FOR VISA email

I got the 'Ready for Visa' email a couple of days ago. I am a FSW inland applicant. Alas, I had left Canada for a while, and was not planning on returning for a few weeks yet.

Is it faster if I send the copy of the passport and photos once I am back in Canada (probably not for another 3 weeks), or if I request them to send my file to my local visa office?

Anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to screw up this far in the process...
Thanks!

suppose you ask CIC to route request to local vo. that ll take 10 days. then u send ur pasport there and they take 3 or more weeks. so u can be stuck waiting g for more than a month.
instead prepone your tickets or try asking CIC for extending it to 45 days giving them reason that you are outside canada
