An employer has a newly approved LMO with someone else's name on it... Apparently the employer decided not to hire the said person anymore and wants me to hire me instead. Do you know if changing a name on an LMO feasible? How does it works? and how long would that tak? what would be the chances of getting it done?

Yes it is feasible but not "replace" the name by typing over it. The employer has to go through the advertising process and if no Canadian citizen or PR qualified or applied, then s/he can apply for a new LMO in your name. The position has to be advertised for at least 14 days within the three months prior to sending the LMO application in; LMO processing may take from 4 to 6 weeks.

Thanks... The agent said it will only take 2 weeks though and doesn't need to be advertised again since it hasn't been 3 months since the advertisement was out / published... That's why i open it up on this site to hear other insights...

It's a new LMO application because Service Canada does not allow name changes. The agent/employer must let Service Canada know that they are not hiring the person who is named on the previous LMO.
