hi, were just recieved our permanent resident here in canada...and were planning to change the last name of our child (20 months old) because there is an error on it. they put the the middle name together in her last name. maybe they got confuse on the passport, because in spanish passport they dont indicate which is the last name and the middle name. i was thinkin if we change her last name according to the spanish passport it is possible again to change it (again) in the future? ( maybe u r confused about what im saying about changing again in the future ) my child has a double citizenship... spanish and filipino ( my husband and i are also a filipino citizen ). when were applying PR here in canada we used our spanish passports and documents.... the problem is... my child's middle name is her mothers middle name, and her last name is her fathers middle name ( unbelievable, right? ), because in spain we used the middle as our last name ( they says that in our birthcertificate in the philippines the middle name comes first and that is the reason! ) since my child is a spanish citizen (same as i) and filipino citizen were thinkin' if we can correct it here in canada? since i registered my child in the embassy of the philippines in spain in her true last name... and in the correct format! my husband's last name and my middle name as her middle/ flag name. but we dont know where we need to start and we dont know what to do.
we know that it is too conflicated, and we hope you can help us! thanks in advance!

Not unbelievable at all, It also happens to me and I'm not a Spaniard. It is also common for parents to add both parents name to children with a hifen. If I'm not wrong, you can easily change your name in Canada before you are 18.
