Hello everyone.

I applied for PR in January 2021 and my application was started processing on September 4th. I want to marry who is currently in my country. Can I change my marriage status when the process continues? Has anyone done something like this before? Who should I contact for this? Can I do it myself or would it be better for my lawyer to do it?

The marriage certificate thing is another problem. I can't go to my country and I have no idea how to get a marriage certificate officially.

Yes, you can add your spouse.

You must get married in person. IRCC does not accept proxy marriages. Since you cannot return to your home country, either your future spouse needs to travel to Canada on a TRV so that you can get married here - or you must meet up in a third country and get married there.
