change address means change of local office

I like to know if I change my address after they send my file to a local office,they will transfer the file to a new local office?and does it delay the wholw process?

The file transfer from 1 office to another can take upto 60 Days...

Depends if you move to an area covered by the same Local Office then no transfer. This is most likely the case if you live in a province with only one CIC office or at most 2 offices covering a large geographical spread. If you move in the GTA though you could more easily end up with a different Local Office.

I moved from Ontario to Alberta, and I will be eligible to apply for citizenship by the end of the year.

Do I need to notify the CIC about the change of my address while I'm PR but don't have an application in process?
