I am from India and Chartered Accountant by profession currently working with Public Sector Bank (Govt of India Undertaking) and have experience of 6 years.

People back in India says I am unmarried/Bachelor so I can not get Tourist Visa.

I have taken NOC from my organisation with Approved leaves. I have Sponsorship and each n every required detail. But no major asset in my name

What are my chances for Tourist Visa as I do not want there would be rejection in Passport.

Hi,

Do go through the Document Checklist for India: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp

People back in India says I am unmarried/Bachelor so I can not get Tourist Visa.
Being married does not assure someone of getting a TRV :)

Having strong ties to the home country (employment/family/financial situation/property, land ownership or leased accommodation, etc) and previous travel history will help.... the person must also have a genuine reason to visit Canada.

There are no *sponsors* for TRVs.... having said this, has someone invited you to visit? If yes, what documents did they provide?

What documents will you be submitting?
For how long do you intend to visit?
What is the purpose of your visit?
Have you traveled abroad earlier?
What ties will you show to India?

BTW a Canada TRV refusal does not mean a *black stamp* in the passport. The applicant gets a refusal letter citing the reasons for refusal. The refusal is, of course, recorded in CIC's database

Cheers

I am planning to go for only 20 days during December.

Sponsorship includes Notarized letter stating he will take care of boarding n lodging n other expenses.
His Bank statement, Passport and PR copy.

I am in a govt job may be that can help.

I have no travel history. My uncle has invited me to visit Canada if granted visa this would be my 1st overseas visit.

I have applied for PR under express entry my concern my this rejection does not ruin my PR chances.

Hi,

You have not proved your ties to India + your financial situation + purpose of your visit. For example, employment proofs + pay slips, ITRs, financial investments, 6 months bank statements, etc etc etc

Do go through the Document Checklist for India on the CIC website..... and post specific queries when you're done. You're missing a whole bunch of supporting evidence which can easily lead to a refusal.

No, IMO being in a government job does not help.... unfortunately, working in an Indian government department often means laxity towards attending office/taking unduly long time-offs from work. So you must show stronger reasons than this to prove you will not overstay your visit

Have you received an ITA? If yes, you must disclose this in your TRV application

Hi Bryanna,

Employment Proof, Promotion Certificate, Pay Slips, ITRS, 6 months financial statement, Bank Balance in terms of CAD and Flight Tickets (to and fro). I have every supporting document mentioned on CIC website except of any major Financial Asset on my name.

Do I need to submit my previous organisation details also their appointment, resignation and play slips. I am in current job for 5.3 years and my total experience is 6.5 years in which I shuffled 2 organisation and currently working in 3rd.

Purpose is basically tourism (unofficially meet a girl whom I intend to marry). Even Sponsorship person gives undertaking that I will not over stay there and send me back before expiry of visa.

I am working in Public Sector Bank and my NOC clearly states he will not be allowed any kind of further leaves beyond that period.I am in good job with sound package and good designation.

My only fear lies with everybody back here saying since you are unmarried you will not get visa and if you get rejected you will ruin ur PR chance (Sponsorship Visa).

Apart from all these do I need to show any more specific ties with my home country, if so please guide me

I am very thankful for your much appreciated replies.

Hi,

Employment Proof, Promotion Certificate, Pay Slips, ITRS, 6 months financial statement, Bank Balance in terms of CAD and Flight Tickets (to and fro)
Sounds good.

Do add a *Must return by date*.... for example, for completion of a work commitment, attending a work-related training program, wedding in the immediate family, etc.... and provide evidence of this.

Do I need to submit my previous organisation details also their appointment, resignation and play slips.
No, not required as you're with your current employer since 5.3 years.

Purpose is basically tourism (unofficially meet a girl whom I intend to marry).
If your disclose *this* officially ie in your TRV application, it will most probably lead to a refusal.

Hence, you must draw up a day-by-day itinerary of places you'd like to visit, meet relatives/friends, etc along with expense estimates.... and prove you have the finances for your visit without having to depend on your uncle (except for accommodation and travel).

Also do prove you are related to your uncle..... for example, his and your dad's birth certificates which state your grandparents' names.

Even Sponsorship person gives undertaking that I will not over stay there and send me back before expiry of visa.
There's no sponsorship for a TRV. Sponsorship is for PR applicants (Family Class Sponsorship).

Any undertakings/affidavits to not overstay are mere assurances. CIC will ignore these documents. What counts are reasons with proofs that an applicant will return to his/her home country.

My only fear lies with everybody back here saying since you are unmarried you will not get visa and if you get rejected you will ruin ur PR chance (Sponsorship Visa).
There's no such thing. Being married does not help to get a TRV.

Any TRV refusal (if any) must be disclosed in all future visa/PR applications. Each visa application is evaluated for its own merits.

Apart from all these do I need to show any more specific ties with my home country, if so please guide me
Family ties (for example, dependent parents or siblings.... financially or otherwise.... with proofs)
Financial investments (FDs, RDs, PPF, EPF, LIC, shares/mutual funds, etc)
Any other obligations or commitments that you have?

Cheers
