Chances of rejection

Hi all,

Applied for visa for parents and haven't heard anything from CIC, eventhough my application is still within the processing times, I am at the 70% mark as far as the processing times go.

My question is not so much on when, but, what are the chances of rejection now? Based on my observations on other threads, rejections are usually fast, within the first quarter (25% of the timeline). Does this mean our applications have "Passed" preliminary screen and the chances of rejection are slim? Or is the application only first seen when the time comes (around processing times) and a decision is made?

With respect it is impossible to ever say when or if an application could be rejected. An application could run all the way through to the published processing time and still get rejected it really depends it seems partly on luck how quickly an application is processed and maybe the workload at the time. However given nobody here works for CIC as far as we know nobody can really say so just have to be patient no matter how frustrating.
