I applied for a study permit under Student Direct Stream (SDS) category for fall 2019. The maximum time for processing under SDS category is 20 days, but its been 29 days for me after biometrics and no update on my file. My brother is a Canadian citizen. I mentioned my brother's information in the family information form. Is there a possibility that my file gets rejected because my brother is a Canadian citizen?

It is a possibility that IRCC may think that you don't intend to return home, given the family ties to Canada.

In circumstances like these, it's the applicant's responsibility to demonstrate that you have very strong ties with your home country, that outweigh your potential ties to your family in Canada. It's too late now unless you receive a Procedural Fairness Letter from IRCC that you can respond to.

Which family information form did you fill out? The family information form for NON SDS applicants is IMM 5707 which only asks about you, your parents, spouse and children. It does not ask about your siblings. The siblings family information form was different and changed last year.
