Dear All,

I am Hameed Ahmed Khan citizen of the Pakistan however, i am currently holds resident visa of UAE as i am working for a leading UAE local Bank in corporate banking division as a Senior Relationship Officer for last 6 months.

I wish to apply for a TRV in February' 12, can the senior members please advice on how to go about it. Should i apply for a single/multiple entry. I wish to apply on multiple so that i could make a trip in every 6 months.

Further to this, I have so much concern to get TRV considering I just have 6 months UAE experience and I know some of my friends who have applied for Canadian visit visa but got refused, reasoning they don’t have enough/ strong ties to come back from Canada. In this regard, I have contacted one consultant and they assured me that I would get visit visa easily as I have my brother in Montreal (citizenship) and I work as a Senior Relationship Officer and earn a handsome salary i.e. AED 18,000 (Equiv to CAD 4,900 p.m), which they foresee will be enough to meet the Canadian visa officer requirement,

I do have relatives in Canada (my real brother-- citizenship holder), so the invitation letter won't be a problem, he also confirmed me that in invitation letter he will be bearing my all travel expense. but apart from that what all do i need and also please state the amount that i need to show in my bank account..... currently i am maintaining AED 45,000 to AED 50,000 (equiv to CAD 12,500) in my salary account.

what are the chances of getting TRV under this circumstances?

Would appreciate your step to step guide details. I would be applying to Abu Dhabi office in UAE.

Thanks
Hameed Ahmed

Well, Canadian visa officers would like to know why you need to make trips to Canada every 6 months?? Besides you only worked 6 months in UAE. Your salary and the funds you saved may sufficient to establish that you have enough maintenance without claiming for public funds or employment while you are in Canada. However what is your main intension of your TRV? Just visiting?? Looking for employment?? There must be a residency requirment in UAE for you to be qualified to apply for visas in a foreign mission as well. You may find that out as well. If that applies to you, they might request you to apply in your home country where you have stronger ties and convincing evidence for the visa officer about your return after the visit.

Thanks for the reply.

Pls note there is no residency requirement in UAE from the govt. As I am holding resident visa and I can apply wherever I want to .. so this cant be implies.

Do you think that said wealth will be consider as my strong ties.. It will be worth mentioning that I have been working in banking industry fore last 6 years.

Further, my sole intention is to meet my family (my real brother/ sister and nieces) who holds citizenship of Canada and enjoy my annual holidays/ vacations with them. I have already applied for my holidays in April, which has been approved by my departmental manager. I spoke to my H.R as well and they will issue letter in the name of Canadian high commission regarding my job, salary, holidays, my importance in the company, behavior etc.

I don’t have any intensions to stay in Canada as I have a very good job here and I know I will not be able to get a job in Canada even I get immigration.

Please note I don’t have a travel history before.. UAE was my first travel. Moreover, I am single so they might be thinking to get married there.. But I have my fiancé lives in Pakistan and in last 6 months period, I visited my home country twice, which could be verified from my passport (entry/ exit) as well..

Please explain what else I need to prepare in shape of documentation, strong ties etc. .. as I don’t want decline on my fresh passport.. 

Thanks in advance

Hameed

does it matter?? i mean is there any requirement to complete an year and then apply.. ??
U dont have a travel history , this is the biggest weak point dear. And secondly within 6 months in UAE, you are jumping straight to Canada for visit, will raise a red flag for you.

Still its up to you. You can take the RISK ..!!

Cheers..

Yes i know i dont have travel histry.. but i have gt the genuine reason to meet my faimly(real bro and sis) and i have very good job in UAE and also strong tie in shape of property and fixed deposit.. Furtehr, my bank will issue a letter to embassy stating that he is working in middly management and want to go to canada for enjoyign his holiday.. dont you think it will be a strong reason that bank itself writing a letter to embassy and confirming that he will come back in given period..

If travel history is that much important than i think i should not go for it.. pls advise me for getting canada TRY .. travel histroy is dt so important..

You may have strong ties to your home country, which is in Pakistan. However you are applying for your visa in UAE where you only lived for 6 months. If you are coming to work having a job offer you case is different. It might be hard for you to show your ties to apply from UAE as well. However If you believe your case is genuine and have enough resources available for you to convince a visa officer, you may proceed and try your luck! My self and the rest of the members here explained the key factors that a Canadian visa officer take in to consideration prior to issue a TRV. There is no harm of trying, make sure to show your intension is clear.
