I’m in the middle of my MBA (Communication Management) degree, and want to apply for a PGDM course in Canada for Fall 21. Are there chances of the visa getting rejected?

For a start depends what course you are planning to apply for, whether is relevant to your current qualifications, any work experience and long term plans when you return home.

I am interested in a PGDM in HR as my communication degree didn’t really cover this aspect in depth and would like a specialized degree in HR now. I don’t really have work ex, just an internship. I guess long term plans would be to help out in my father’s business after getting some international exposure.

No. I will not be dropping out. My course ends in June 21 which I will complete, and intend to join a Canadian college for a PGDM in HR after that in September 21

The visa officer will question why do you need to travel all the way to Canada and spend so much money to do a course in HR? They will wonder why don't you do it in your home country, it will be cheaper and more suited to the business in your country.

Your purpose of travel will be suspicious and the visa officer won't believe you're a genuine student.

It is very likely your study permit application will be refused for not meeting the immigration regulations.

Agree. You are finishing up an MBA so why do you need to come to Canada for a PG program? How does it help your career progression in your home country. Why not apply for PR?

The reason is that I don’t really want PR. Just looking for a foreign education.
