Guys, please help me if I have chances to get a study permit when I apply. Really need your opinions on this.

1. I'm 39 years old and very interested in Business Management program (8 months) but my post graduate was Psychology 18 years ago, the school said they can accept me for the program. -- You think when I apply for Study Permit, they will question my age?

2. My past work experience was Marketing Specialist (Courier Company, 4 mos) then Coordinator (Hotel, 2 yrs). -- You think they will consider?

3. My very recent work experience was part-time Admin Manager for the business of my Mom (fr 2012 to present, at the same I was just a housewife to take care of my daughter) -- Shall I indicate it on the form under work experience even if it is only part-time or will just indicate that I was a housewife

Thanks for your time. I will really appreciate your help before I apply coz I don't want to be refused for the wrong reasons. I super like to study again so I can increase my chances to apply for a job and be back to the corporate world.

1.- your age shoul not be a problem as long as your previous education makes sense for the VO with what your are willing to persue.... Which may be an issue in your case.

2.- All experience is usefull

3.- If you have been unemployed for a certain period you should write that an explain it as well.... just be honest...

but first worry about been accepted at your institution before worrying about visa

Thanks for your reply. My problem is the school said they can accept me for the program I chose based on my transcripts. They are about to issue an Acceptance Letter as soon as I give my complete personal details. But you said my previous education might have an issue so I am having second thoughts if I will pursue the program.

My second choice though is Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Educator (both 8-12 months of study) they are in line with my past education. I am also interested in taking this course as I became interested in pre-school education eversince I sent my daughter to pre-school. However, do you think there will be an issue if my past work experiences were not connected to both my past education and program that I want to study?

There could be some issues with that... but you wont know until you apply for visa...

Most colleges for not Masters or Phd Programs will offer admission really easily.... But If you have navigated on this forum... You will see tones of persons getting their study permit rejected because VO doesnt think you background makes sense with what you are willing to study...

It very easy to get admission in the institution... the most difficult part of all is visa....

Yes, indeed you're right. Admission to an Institution is easy but getting a visa is the difficult part. :(

I just have one question, which do you think is at least more likely to work? A program connected to my past education 18 years ago or a program connected to my work experience for the past 10 years?

I am currently holding a dependent visa to my PR husband outside our home country and he is willing to support my education in order to have greater chances of getting a job where we are currently residing. As much as I don't want to overthink on the course to take, I just can't help it.

Thanks for your time. I really appreciate it.
