Hi, I tried the search, but couldn't find anything specific.

I'm applying to sponsor my US born wife who is living with me in Canada.

All of the supporting documents we are sending, including copies of our child's birth certificate, our marriage certificate, our passports, etc. are in English and issued in Canada (except her US passport and FBI docs).

Do we need to certify these copies as true with a notary public, or can we just send the photocopies?

Thank you.

1. If you read the checklist here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp for the US, you will note that it only requests originals or copies, no notarized copies (unless a document is not in English or French)
