It is my understanding that copies of documents that were originally in English do not need to be certified.Only documents that are not in English or French need to be translated and certified.

Could someone please confirm that I do not need to certify copies of English or French documents for skilled immigration to canada.

All documents that are not original should be notarized/certified wether in English or French

documents that are in english or french need not be translated

These are two different thing.

no document require certification/attestation by a notary Public (but if you do so, no harm) but any document not in English/French does require translation by a registered translators.

Thats what i understood that only if document not in english or french, it will required a notarised translation, otherwise documents DO NOT need to be certified.

Anyone else have anything to add, further opinions/confirmations will be appreciated.

yeh, you are right,

translation need to be Notarized/certified.

but

Copies of the originals (the dox already in English/French) no need to be notarized.
