Hi everybody,

I am calculating my CRS point and I have troubles with the 7th question: "Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory or federal body?".

The question also defines that "A certificate of qualification lets people work in some skilled trades in Canada. Only the provinces, territories and a federal body can issue these certificates. To get one, a person must have them assess their training, trade experience and skills to and then pass a certification exam".

I have two questions:

Firstly, I have got a Smart Serve certification. Anyone who serves or handles alcohol in a licensed establishment in Ontario must be certified and have this Smart Serve certification. Hence, is my Smart Serve certification eligible?

Secondly, I am working as a line cook, hence I do not handle alcohol. As a result, is the Smart Serve certification suitable to list on my profile?

Thank you so much for helping me!
