Hi all, I am sorry to start a new thread on this but I urgently need help on this please.
I applied for MAlaysian certificate of good conduct online on 9th July, 2013. Then the status said " application submitted". After one week the status changed to "in process". It is still on the same status now.
Having said all this, I was in Malaysia on a student visa for 11 months. And the instruction on the e consular page says that in order to be eligible to apply for a Malaysian certificate of good conduct you need to have resided there for at least 12 consecutive months. In my case I travelled to THailand once in those 11 months. So in this case I become ineligible to apply for this. I am in New YOrk these days as a visitor. Before applying online I went to the Malaysian mission in NY to clarify about this and the people there had no idea at all. When I told them about the eligibility criteria for application then they said that I cannot apply for it and tell this to the Canadian visa office who will be processing my application. But you all know that for Canadian PR we need to produce police clearance for all countries where we resided for more than 6 months.
But I still tried and applied online and then application was accepted and in process. The processing time it says is 2 months. I have a feeling that it is going to take for ever. I have my medicals in few days and we are almost ready with our application except THIS!
In this case I shall be really grateful if any of you in the same boat could share your experience. Did i miss anything on my application? The processing fee i am assuming to be paid at the mission once my application is approved. And if the experts here could advice me on if it is ok to submit the application without Malaysian certificate of good conduct with an explanation why it has not been included in the application.
Sorry for the long post, buts driving me crazy and this forum is the only support I can rely on. Hope you all understand the situation and come up with valuable information. Thank you all.
